The mood to wear a dress doesn’t strike me often, much less the mood to wear a bright red, floral, look-at-me dress. However, if there’s one occasion that warrants a game of dress ups – it’s definitely a birthday. My mother purchased this dress for me because when I walked out of the change room, I looked, and I quote, “like a girl!” and despite my initial instinct to yell that she didn’t understand me, she was right. Light, flirty and fun – perfect for date night when paired with heeled mules, or thrown on with some sneakers for a lazy morning wandering the markets.

So, in conclusion, I’ve decided that dresses are underrepresented in my wardrobe – they’re incredibly versatile, the ventilation is incredible, plus I didn’t get a weird muffin top when I’d finished scarfing down my birthday pasta.
