I have a love-hate relationship with thrift stores. For a long time it was just a hate relationship – seeing my friends dress in these incredible outfits and upon asking where they got their clothes, being met with a flippant, “oh, it’s vintage.” Infuriating.

That was until I spotted this delicious, burgundy velvet Dolce & Gabbana (I know?!) blazer at the Revive fashion festival, and my luck turned around. The heavens opened up, and suddenly I was finding impeccable vintage pieces left right and centre – from perfect Harley Davidson tees to luxurious white silk Sass & Bide trousers. Such a tough life.

I know. I became one of those people, parading around with their vintage jacket draped over their shoulder, accessorising with an air of superiority. If I’ve ever nonchalantly told you, “oh, it’s vintage”, I’m so sorry.
