Armed with my little blue La Sardina 35mm, I pulled on my flares, zipped up my boots and dragged my personal photographer (housemate) down to Paddington for a day of sorting through musty jackets and old trousers for that perfect vintage score (and Le Bon Choix macarons, obviously).

For someone that stands at 5’4″, the concept of being a normal height is extremely attractive, and these crepe babies by Finders Keepers are the gift that keeps on giving. Universally flattering? Check. Elongates even the shortest legs? You fucking bet. Fabric holds its shape even after hours of rifling through thrift stores or one too many macarons from your local patisserie? Also-bloody-lutely.

They dress down with a vintage band tee and corduroy, and dress up just as easily with a silk camisole and sky scraping heels. Conclusion: if you don’t own a pair, you’re only doing yourself a disservice.

Wearing: corduroy jacket by Insight, vintage Kiss tee from Aquarium Vintage & Costume, flares by Finders Keepers, bag by Colette, boots by Sol Sana
