I’ve dubbed this ensemble ‘Don Draper meets stoned, Pink Floyd mega fan’. I adore menswear on it’s own, and a woman in an incredible ankle skimming suit is a real heart palpitation inducer, but something about the contrast between sharply tailored pants, I-mean-business loafers and a threadbare band shirt thrown on under a leather jacket is a whole other affair.
Comfort and seeming-put-together-when-you’re-really-not are the two main facets of my personal style, and this look ticks all the boxes. A pinstriped trouser especially screams, “GET OUT OF THE WAY, I’VE JUST COME FROM AN EXTREMELY IMPORTANT MEETING AND I’M ON MY WAY TO OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT,” sans the effort of actually doing either of those things. Paired with the vintage tee and leather jacket, you have just the right amount of edge that people may start wondering whether you’re a long lost daughter of Mick Jagger.
Wearing: Pink Floyd 1987 ‘Momentary Lapse of Reason’ Tour shirt from Storeroom Vintage, leather jacket from General Pants, pinstriped trousers from Zara and tailored by me, loafers by Celine, and clutch by Saint Jude.
